Kangen Water™ is a registered trademark of Enagic
USA.
Just as Kangen Water™ represents the best water available, Enagic simply represents the best, by all means, in and around this highly respected industry.
In 2002, Enagic was awarded an honorable endorsement from the Japanese Association of Preventive Medicine for Adult Disease. Enagic is the only company approved for use in the hospitals in Japan by this group. This is considered such a special feat, considering this non-profit and independent doctors association, which is also the biggest and the most respected of its kind in Japan, is known for its long and thorough selection process and the fact that they issue such endorsements for only one product (or product line) to the very best in any given category.
In this particular case, Enagic represents not only the best in the Kangen Water™ industry but in the whole water industry. As a matter of fact, they practically created the water category with this organization as they were the first one ever to be selected from the water industry.
While Enagic has grown into the industry leader over years in the business, they spent their first 10 years only working with doctors and hospitals to co-develop and market professional grade machines, unlike most of the competitors in this industry now. During this 10 year period, they inevitably established their quality-driven culture and they started manufacturing smaller home units only after the doctors and their discharged patients started asking for such machines so they can continue their home treatments, despite the fact that there were already a handful of similar home units, known as Ionized Alkaline Water Generators, on the market. The problem was none of these home units were a Kangen Water™ grade, and that's what they really wanted in their homes to continue their healing.
Producing Kangen Water™ was not always such an easy task. Around 20 years ago, producing a water of this quality required giant tanks of water with incredibly large metal plates for electrolysis. Producing Kangen water in the past was a long and strenuous task. Back then, a small household unit was unheard of.
From the business perspective, the sale of these new units meant a whole new, business opportunity for Enagic with incredible potential. At the same time, it also presented two major issues they had to resolve -- quality and cost. It was a question of whether or not they should compromise on the quality in order to meet the price point that end users
would be willing to pay.
In the end, they managed to come up with both technological and business solutions to their satisfaction. In 1997, they introduced their first home unit LeveLuk DX, a true Kangen Water™ generator, which instantly became the benchmark of the industry.
To top it all off, they packaged it with industry-best automatic self-cleaning system, also accompanied by an unheard-of 5 year full product warranty and a comprehensive maintenance program along the way.
As unconventional as these all sound, they decided to completely bypass the traditional distribution system by selling directly to consumers; heavily relying on referrals from existing customers. At the same time, they also started opening multi-functional satellite offices in each of major cities in Japan, where customers could drop by to learn about the water and the products.
The truth of the matter is they needed to do so, in order to provide such a professional grade unit at a mere consumer price point. Essentially, they instead focused on over-satisfying the customers so they cannot help but telling other people about their acquisition and its unbelievable health benefits.
